Some people call this place 'Annwn' or 'Annwfn'. Greywillow calls it home ...
I wanted to create a little more depth with this piece than seen in my previous ink illustrations. In Welsh mythology, Annwfn or 'the otherworld' is said to be a misty place that's perpetually in twilight, so I used ink wash to create murky shadows over the water. Annwfn is the realm of the Tylwyth Teg (fair folk) where anything is possible. Welsh fairies don't actually have wings, but I used a little artistic licence for Greywillow.
