About the Artist

My name is Jo Hards. I am a self representing artist, based on a tiny narrowboat in South Wales. I am best known for one of a kind, button eyed, cloth art dolls. Sometimes though, whenever I feel inspired, I take to other mediums, such as ink, watercolour and acrylics.

The characters I create have been described by many as ‘creepy cute’ for their dark, yet innocent anthropomorphic charm. Ethics have always played an important role in my art. As an ethical vegan, I do not use any materials or tools of animal origin.
