Marigold Inkwell - Original Textile Art Doll

Just before the sun rises, while the streets are still quiet, Marigold emerges from her cosy den, tucked away at the back of the old graveyard. This is her favourite time of day. As a savvy urban fox, she knows this is the safest time to scavenge. The humans always leave plenty behind, and this winter morning is perfect - The grass sparkles with frost, and the smell of last night’s fried food drifts across the high street. As long as she can avoid being seen, Marigold won’t go hungry tonight.

This one of a kind, Gothic fox girl art doll measures 26cm (around 10") from head to toe, with another 2cm for her ears. Marigold is made from quilting cotton, jointed with antique silver effect, metal beads at the shoulders, elbows, wrists and knees. The neck is button jointed.

Marigold's face has been hand painted in acrylics and artists’ coloured pencil for a long lasting finish. She has gunmetal finish buttons for eyes. The hair and tail are needle felted with soft acrylic yarn in a bright copper shade. 

Marigold wears a black cotton bodice, a silver tone fox pendant, and long tattered lace skirt. Her arms and dress are hand painted with a simple leaf design. The boots are painted in acrylics and laced with linen thread. 

As with all Spyderthread products, Marigold Inkwell is vegan friendly. She is signed, numbered and dated by the artist, and supplied with a certificate of authenticity. Unless otherwise stated, clothes are fixed in place. Please note that this doll is a collectible art doll, for display only. She is not a toy and should not be given to a child under the age of 14 years. Colours may vary slightly from images shown due to individual screen settings.
