As the pale sun creeps over the horizon, and early morning mist clings to the hillside like chiffon, Reya Laureltree steps over shimmering grass and breathes the frost scented air. There is something different about this morning. A hum of activity stirs in the trees, as new growth colours the tips of the branches. Spring is almost here.

Measuring 34cm (just over 13") from head to toe, this OOAK Gothic style art doll is made from tea stained quilting cotton, jointed with bronze finish metal beads at the shoulders, elbows, wrists and knees. The neck is button jointed.

Reya's face has been hand painted in archival quality ink and artists’ coloured pencil for a long lasting finish. She has antique bronze finish metal buttons for eyes. The hair is needle felted with pale green bamboo roving. 

Reya wears a black cotton muslin and velvet dress with green and black lace trim, a wide brocade waist band, and Guipure lace sleeves and underwear. A brocade ribbon choker with bronze finish butterfly pendant completes the look. Reya's shoes are painted in acrylics, with a coat of gloss varnish, and finished with a satin ribbon ankle strap.

As with all Spyderthread art, Reya Laureltree is vegan friendly. She is signed, numbered and dated by the artist, and supplied with a name tag, and certificate of authenticity - which has her story printed on the reverse. Your art doll will be shipped, wrapped carefully in tissue paper, nestled in a presentation box, protected by a sturdy cardboard outer box.
