Turn Back? - Original illustration by Jo Hards

My concept for this piece was the idea of Little Red Riding Hood embarking on her trip through the woods to visit her Grandmother. The warnings are there that there may be danger ahead, but this journey is important to her. She stands poised, not sure which way to turn. Can she overcome her fears and make it through to the other side? Or is this a trip she shouldn't continue alone?

This illustration is rendered in a combination of fineliner pens, tinted charcoal paints and watercolour, on an A4 sheet of acid free 300gsm watercolour paper. The painted area measures approx 18.5cm x 27cm. All materials are vegan friendly.
